MHDC CHAIRMAN IS WELCOMED TO THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS

Malvern Hills District Council Chairman, Councillor George Price has been welcomed as a member of the Liberal Democrat Group on the District Council. Councillor Price represents Tenbury and was previously an Independent before joining the Liberal Democrats last week.

The move was welcomed by Council Leader, Di Rayner and West Worcestershire Parliamentary Candidate, Richard Burt.

"George is an experienced and well respected councillor. He has been an exemplary Council Chairman and commands respect from all sides of the chamber," said Di Rayner.

"He is a superb representative for Tenbury and works tirelessly for the benefit of the town. We are delighted to welcome him on board," said Richard Burt.

"As Chairman of the Council I have been in a unique position to judge its performance over the past four years, and I am very happy to join the LibDems in their efforts to deliver good value and quality services," said George Price.
